Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert may be a game time decision as the Chargers are set to play the Pittsburgh Steelers as he is dealing with a high-ankle sprain that resulted in him taking part in just one limited practice this week, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
Despite the update, there is a belief that Herbert will ultimately play, although an official decision will hinge on his pregame warmups. Herbert is intent on playing against Pittsburgh but how he looks during warmups will determine the final decision regarding his status.
Should Herbert not be ready to go by the 1pm EST kickoff, the Chargers would likely turn to Easton Stick to take his place under center. The Chargers also have veteran quarterback Taylor Heinicke on the roster as well.
